SF's McGuinness warned of increased threat to his life

Sinn Fein says Martin McGuinness has been warned by the police about a "substantial increase" in the threat against his life.

The party says all of its senior members have been facing increased threats as the leadership moves to endorse the PSNI in the Northern Ireland.

It says Mr McGuinness received a fresh warning last night that the threat against his life had substantially increased.

Mr McGuinness says he is taking the warning seriously, but similar threats over the past 30 years have not deflected the party and neither will this one.
