Police investigating the alleged abduction of nine-year-old Shannon Matthews in Britain earlier this year have arrested her step-father today.
Twenty-two-year-old Craig Meehan is being held on suspicion of possessing indecent images of children.
The images were apparently found when police examined computers as part of their search for Shannon.
A West Yorkshire Police spokesman said: "During inquiries by the Shannon Matthews investigation team, the contents of a number of computers have been examined.
"As a result of this work, police have today arrested a 22-year-old man from the Dewsbury Moor area on suspicion of possessing indecent images of children. He is currently being questioned at a West Yorkshire Police station."
The nine-year-old was found safe and well last month, 24 days after she disappeared while on her way home from school in Dewsbury.
The man whose home she was found in has been charged with kidnapping her.
Mr Meehan has been living with her mother for the past five years.
