Apprentice Boys of Derry historian William Temple will tonight travel to the Republic to give a lecture on the Siege of Derry.
Mr Temple will deliver the lecture at the County Museum in Letterkenny, Co Donegal, from 7.30pm.
Mr Temple is a local historian with a particular knowledge of the social and economic history of the Fountain area of Derry.
He is also a past president of the Murrary Club Apprentice Boys.
The Apprentice Boys Of Derry Society was founded in 1814 and aims to commemorate the 1688-1689 Siege of Derry, which has a world-wide membership.
The event has been organised in conjunction with Abhaile Aris under the Processes of Nation Building programme, which seeks to encourage and enable the building of relationships between all sections of civic society.
Admission to the event is free and it is open to everyone.
