Student bailed after drug bust

A Queen’s University student was released on bail on Saturday after being charged with having £90,000 worth of cannabis.

Nigerian woman Ngozi Eneh, 36, appeared in the dock of Belfast Magistrates wearing a black top and trousers and was charged with possessing the class B drug with intent to supply on September 4.

Eneh, a mother-of-three who is studying for a Phd at Queen's, was arrested on Friday when police raided her Flora Street home in east Belfast and allegedly uncovered the drugs.

She was granted police bail after an officer said the PSNI was content for the court to release her provided she surrendered her passport and signed three times a week at her local station.
