Tearful farewell as stabbing victim is laid to rest

Mourners paid their last respects at the funeral of south Belfast man Anthony Robin.

The father-of-two was laid to rest at Milltown Cemetery yesterday afternoon following Requiem Mass at St Malachy’s Church.

Tearful members of Mr Robin’s family were among those who gathered together for the service. Mr Robin died in hospital after being stabbed at his Fitzroy Avenue home on Monday.

Earlier this week, Mr Robin’s partner appeared in court charged with his murder.

Angeline Mitchell, of Lindsay Court in Belfast, was remanded in custody to reappear in court next week by videolink.
