Teen raped in alley

Tuesday, 13 January 2009

A hunt for a rapist was mounted today after a teenage girl was attacked in Belfast.

The 16-year-old was jumped on by a man in the Springfield Road area in the west of the city last night.

Police said she was subjected to a serious sexual assault by the unknown assailant in an alleyway off Springfield Drive at around 9.00pm.

Detectives hunting the rapist appealed for anyone in the area between 8.00pm and 10.00pm to contact them.
