Golfers could tee off at Donald Trump's controversial luxury resort in Scotland in 18 months, the property tycoon's son has said.
Donald Trump Jnr was at the Menie Estate in Aberdeenshire, where work officially began on the links course.
Councillors gave the green light yesterday for the first stage of building the £1bn two-course resort, which includes a hotel and almost 1,000 holiday homes.
Objectors say they are taking legal advice over Aberdeenshire Council's decision to approve the work.
But Mr Trump Jnr said the project is the “most scrutinised in the UK ever”.
The developer said he hoped golfers would be able to tee off on the course within 18 months to two years — the schedule will depend on the weather.
