The final pic of Baby P
Thursday, 20 November 2008
This is the last cherished photograph of Baby P — one that could have have saved his tragically short life.
The portrait of the 11-month-old shows the markings to his face that could have alerted the authorities to the ordeal he was suffering at the hands of his abusers.
The studio shot shows Baby P dressed as a street urchin. The cuts and bruises on his face are clearly visible.
The failure of Haringey Council to alert detectives to the abuse the child was suffering is being investigated by a Government-ordered inquiry, due to report next month.
Yesterday the Prime Minister Gordon Brown told the House of Commons: “It is in all our interests that where there is a failure we change the system, and where people are to blame for failures they are held accountable.”
Wellwishers have continued to leave tributes to Baby P at the spot where his ashes were scattered, in the Remembrance Garden next to Islington Crematorium in north London.

That poor little boy probably did not understand what was happening.I have a 18 month old daughter and I think of the little boy evertime I play with her.
What a tough person they were to hurt a child.

I just keep thinking about this wee lad every day since the story appeared. I look at my own wee girl who is just 16 months old and despair at how anyone can be so cruel. They are just so reliant on you at that age and these evil so and so`s come along and torture Baby P to death. I hope they receive the justice they deserve.
RIP Baby P.X

I see the names have become public knowledge on the internet. I just don't know how someone could do that to a child, never mind three people! disgrace.
