One of Ireland's top singers was today due to officially open the new purpose-built facilities at Enniskillen Integrated Primary School.
Brian Kennedy, who is also now a best-selling author, was invited to perform the opening ceremony - which represents a new era for the popular school.
The completion of the new £2.45m building is a major milestone for an integrated primary school which has been functioning in temporary accommodation since it first opened its doors in September 1989 with an initial intake of 65 pupils.
The school, which was established in the wake of the Enniskillen Remembrance Day bomb when a group of parents got together and formed Enniskillen Together, has grown from strength to strength and today boasts an enrolment of 214 pupils.
Principal Adele Kerr said: "It is a great honour that Brian Kennedy is able to perform the official opening for us.
"To take time out from his busy schedule and current Christmas tour is incredible."
Children, teachers, parents, governors, civic leaders, representatives from the main churches and political parties were all due to attend the official opening.
