A man and a woman in their 20s have been charged with child cruelty after a five-year-old girl was found wandering barefoot in the snow in Omagh.
The 22-year-old woman, understood to be the child’s mother, and the 24-year-old man, cannot be named to protect the child’s identity.
The child was found knocking on the door of a supermarket at 5am in February after walking a quarter of a mile from her home.
Both defendants are charged with two counts of cruelty to a child under 16 years of age. The counts apply to two different children.
They were ordered to reappear in court on August 18.
