Two in court after Army procession

A father and son appeared at Belfast Magistrates’ Court yesterday accused of disorderly behaviour during last weekend’s military homecoming parade in Belfast.

The pair, aged 37 and 16, each face a second charge of obstructing a policewoman in the Peter’s Hill area of the city.

Neither of the accused can be named because of the age of the younger defendant.

They were both released on bail following a brief hearing.

District Judge Fiona Bagnall banned the pair from entering the Tigers Bay area.
