Bank worker charged with murder

The body, found in Victory Lane, Walsall, has not yet been formally identified

A bank worker has been charged with murder after a body was found by detectives searching for a missing woman.

Jasvir Ram Ginday, 32, was arrested by West Midlands Police after a body was discovered by officers at an address in Victory Lane, Walsall, on Friday.

A police spokesman confirmed that Ginday, of Victory Lane, had been charged with murder and would be kept in custody until an appearance at Walsall Magistrates' Court on Monday morning.

The body, which has yet to be formally identified, was found at about 8pm on Friday following a report of a missing person made on Thursday.

Nine people, four other men and five women, arrested in connection with the death have been bailed pending further inquiries.

Detective Chief Inspector Sarbit Johal, who is leading the inquiry, said: "We are undertaking numerous enquiries and are still really keen to speak to anyone who may have information that could help this investigation."

Anyone with information about the death is urged to call police 101 or the Crimestoppers service in confidence on 0800 555 111.
