A British man has been accused of shooting two men dead in the Dominican Republic

A British man has been accused of killing two men during a dispute over a 22-year-old woman in the Dominican Republic and then trying to take his own life.

Police said Robert Hill, 29, allegedly shot the two Haitian men near the popular beach resort of Punta Cana, then turned the gun on himself but survived.

Hill is being treated at a hospital in the capital.

Thirty-one-year-old Henry Enmanuel and twenty-seven-year-old Junior Lorrame died of their injuries shortly after the attack on Sunday.
