Doctor Who fans will be able to rent classic episodes of the Time Lord's adventures on Facebook for the first time.
They will include at least one story that has never been released on DVD when the online rental service is launched on Wednesday by BBC Worldwide.
Users will be able to buy credits to rent nine digitally remastered stories with nine available when the service launches on the Doctor Who Facebook page.
They include Tomb Of The Cybermen, dating back to 1967 and starring Patrick Troughton, the Doctor's second incarnation.
The stories also include The Greatest Show In The Galaxy starring Sylvester McCoy - which first aired in 1988 and which has been out on DVD.
The episode will be available to view for 48 hours once rented.
BBC Worldwide chief executive John Smith said: "We see this service as a perfect way to give our fans what they want, as well as a great way for them to get their fix between now and the autumn when series six continues."
