Drug squad finds alligator in Chesire bath

Police searching for illicit drugs found something they didn’t quite expect when they raided a house in Cheshire and discovered an alligator in the bath.

During the operation, officers also found a king cobra, three monocled cobras and a rattlesnake at a nearby shop where they uncovered a cannabis factory.

The drugs factory in Runcorn contained about 60 plants and equipment plus tanks of snakes and a number of dead venomous snakes.

Inspector Dave Gordon of Cheshire police told the Daily Mail: “Since some of the animals seized are extremely dangerous, indeed potentially lethal, they have been taken to a safe location where they will remain for the time being in the care of reptile specialists.”
