Excitement is mounting at the Goring Hotel where Kate Middleton is getting ready ahead of her wedding.
The 29-year-old spent her last night as a single woman at the five-star central London hotel surrounded by her closest family.
She entered the building in Belgravia on Thursday evening with sister and maid of honour Pippa and mother Carole, waving at the crowds who had waited for hours to catch a glimpse of the bride-to-be.
A covered walkway has been erected outside the hotel in a bid to prevent anyone seeing Kate in her wedding dress before she arrives at Westminster Abbey.
Wedding guests also staying at the Goring have already started leaving for the service.
It has been reported that Alexander McQueen designer Sarah Burton, tipped to be behind Kate's wedding dress, was seen entering the hotel on Thursday night, her head covered with a fur hood.
The crowd of fans hoping to see her leave the hotel with her father Michael in a Rolls-Royce Phantom VI has been growing.
Kate Murdoch, 49, from Exmoor, was there with daughter Georgia, 12. She said: "I came to see Diana and Charles getting married so I wanted my daughter to experience a big, friendly crowd. My husband and son refused to come. I really want to see the dress and her jewels."
Maddie Aldir, 25, from Dorset, said: "I don't think she will have a meringue dress on. It will be silky and closely fit. We might have to watch it on the iPlayer afterwards if we don't see it here though."
Pamela Woo, 30, from Hong Kong, was outside the hotel with husband Gabriel, 33, and daughter Caitlynn, 14 months, having arrived in the UK on Thursday. Mrs Woo, originally from Canada, said: "We came especially for the wedding. I have always been fascinated by the Royal Family. I think it's such a beautiful love story."
