A man has been charged with the attempted murder of a woman and her two children, police said.
Victoria Meek, 23, and her daughters aged three and six were discovered with stab wounds at their home in Norfolk on Tuesday.
A 28-year-old man - thought to be the younger girl's father - was arrested two days later in Great Yarmouth.
Isaac Peter Wilfred Williams, 28, of College Road, Norwich, has now been remanded in custody charged with three counts of attempted murder. He is due to appear before magistrates in the town on Monday.
In a statement given to police following the knife attack, Ms Meek's mother said: "The family would like to thank everybody for their support at this traumatic time.
"We are deeply shocked and upset by what has happened.
"We would like to be left alone to deal with this as a family and to allow Victoria and her children to recover in peace."
Ms Meek and her older daughter were being treated at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital in Norwich while the younger child was taken to Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge.
Locals said Ms Meek was a single mother who lived with her daughters in the top-floor flat near Norwich city centre.
