Paul Gascoigne remains "committed to his health and wellbeing" and has only been drinking soft drinks, a spokesman for the former football star has said.
The statement followed publication in The Sun of photographs of the ex-World Cup hero at a party in Dubai.
Gascoigne, whose clubs included Newcastle United, Spurs, Lazio, Rangers, Everton and Middlesbrough, has had a well-documented battle with drink and drugs and has undergone stints in rehab.
His agent Matt Jones said: "Paul Gascoigne is currently at home in Dorset after a week in Newcastle and a trip to Dubai for the England v Ukraine Euro 2012 match.
"Committed to his health and wellbeing - he works out every day - he has only been drinking soft drinks and non-alcoholic cocktails."
The newspaper said the photographs - which include one of the 45-year-old with pool cue chalk on his face - were taken at a Dubai hotel where fans were drinking.
