Detectives investigating the discovery of two severed arms in a lake have charged a man with murder

Detectives investigating the discovery of two severed arms in a lake have charged a man with murder.

Douglas Binet, 53, has been charged with killing 47-year-old Anthony Whitefield, whose severed limb was discovered by fisherman in Buckhurst Hill, Essex, on Thursday.

Mr Whitefield was reported missing to Essex Police by a member of his family and had not been seen since February 8.

Binet, of Hanson Drive, Loughton, Essex, is due to appear at Harlow Magistrates' Court on Wednesday charged with murdering Mr Whitefield between February 6 and March 31 this year.
