Man dies in Butlins balcony fall

A man has died after falling from a hotel balcony at a holiday camp, according to police.

Sussex Police and ambulance crews were called to the Butlins complex at Bognor Regis, West Sussex, in the early hours of Saturday after receiving a report that the man had fallen.

Attempts were made by paramedics to resuscitate him but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The man as been identified as Timothy Wall, 23, from St Leonards, Dorset.

A Sussex Police spokesman said the next-of-kin had been informed.

He said: "The death is being treated as unexplained but it is not being considered as suspicious."

He added that a post-mortem examination would be carried out on the body to establish a cause of death and the coroner had been informed.
