A man has appeared in court charged with the murders of his partner and young son.
Paul Chadwick, 34, is accused of killing Lisa Clay, 40, and six-year-old Joseph, who were found dead at their bungalow in Bolton-le-Sands, Lancashire, on April 9.
A Home Office post-mortem examination found they both died as a result of multiple stab wounds.
Chadwick was charged by Lancashire Police on Friday and remanded in custody to appear at Preston Magistrates' Court on Saturday morning.
The defendant, wearing a blue jumper and flanked by two security officers, spoke only to confirm his identity during the short hearing.
He was further remanded in custody to appear before Preston Crown Court on Tuesday, April 23.
