Neighbour dies after car fire shock

A man has died after suffering from a heart attack after his neighbour's car caught fire outside his home

An elderly man has died after discovering a neighbour's car alight outside his home.

Lothian and Borders Fire and Rescue services were called to the scene in Woodmuir Road, Breich, West Lothian around 8.30pm on Sunday where a car had been set on fire in a driveway.

As the fire crews arrived a 69-year-old man suffered a heart attack at the scene where his next door neighbour's car was on fire.

He was treated by the fire crew and the ambulance service but died at the scene.

The car fire was brought under control and Lothian and Borders Police have said an investigation is ongoing to establish the cause of the fire.
