A 22-month-old girl has died after she was involved in a collision with a milk float, police have said.
The toddler was taken to hospital after the collision, on Hopwood Lane, in Halifax, West Yorkshire, at 5.30pm on Thursday, but has since died.
An 18-year-old man was arrested in connection with the incident and released on bail, said West Yorkshire Police.
A police spokesman said: "Police in Halifax are appealing for witnesses after a fatal road traffic collision on Hopwood Lane on Thursday August 25.
"The incident happened at 5.30pm and involved a 22-month-old girl and a milk float.
"As a result of the incident the young child was taken to Leeds General Infirmary but she has since died.
"An 18-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident and released on bail. Inquiries are continuing."
