Two die after car collides with bus

Two men died after a car was in collision with an open top bus in Stratford upon Avon

Two men have died after a car was in collision with an open top bus.

The driver of the car suffered multiple serious injuries in the crash on Featherbed Lane, Pathlow, Stratford upon Avon and was confirmed dead at the scene by ambulance crews.

A second man, the passenger in the car, was found in traumatic cardiac arrest but he was also confirmed dead at the scene, West Midlands Ambulance Service said.

The bus driver and two passengers, all believed to be in their 50s, were also injured in the incident on Saturday.

The driver suffered a suspected fractured leg, while a woman suffered a suspected fractured ankle and a man a cut to the head.

They received emergency treatment at the scene before being taken to Warwick Hospital for further assessment and treatment.

West Midlands Ambulance Service said they had no further details on the incident, which happened around 3.20pm.
