Two held over death of woman, 27

Police have arrested two men following the death of a 25-year-old woman

Two men have been arrested on suspicion of murder following the death of a 27-year-old woman, police have confirmed.

The victim, who has not been named, was found seriously injured in a car in Woodfield Road, Crawley, West Sussex, just after 6pm on Tuesday.

Paramedics were unable to save the woman and she was declared dead just under an hour later and taken to East Surrey Hospital in Redhill, Surrey.

Two men, aged 30 and 51, both from Crawley, were arrested at the scene and are being held in custody in the town, Sussex Police said.

An investigation is being led by detectives from the force's major crime branch.

An area of Woodfield Road has been cordoned off as scene of crime officers make inquiries.
