Two women killed as car hits wall

Police are appealing for witnesses after two women died in a car crash near Caernarfon, North Wales

Two young women have been killed in a car crash just hours into the new year.

The driver and passenger in a silver Vauxhall Corsa died after the car hit a wall at around 6am on Sunday on the A4086 in the village of Llanrug, near Caernarfon, North Wales.

Police said the victims, both from the Gwynedd area, died at the scene of the crash on the main Llanberis to Caernarfon road.

North Wales Police appealed for any witnesses to the crash to come forward and said the local coroner has been informed of the deaths.
