A video a dog owner posted on YouTube of his golden retriever sliding down a helter-skelter at a local park has attracted more than 100,000 views in a week.
Henry Kellie posted the video of six-year-old Tom sliding down the helter-skelter at his local park in Lubenham, Leicestershire, last Thursday.
Since then, the clip has been viewed more than 103,000 and numerous comments have been made on the YouTube page.
Dawn Moore, who runs the Coach and Horses pub across from the park, said Mr Kellie was shocked at the amount of people who had clicked on to view the amusing video.
The married mother-of-two said: "I remember the first time I saw the video on his phone.
"You know they say dogs can smile. Well, Tom was smiling. It's a funny sight to see.
"He said he had gone up the helter-skelter to get a better view of the countryside when Tom followed him up.
"When he slid down the slide to get down, Tom followed.
"Since then, he can't get him away from it during walks."
Mrs Moore, 53, added: "Tom's a lovely dog, a proper charmer.
"He comes in the pub with Henry all the time.
"When everyone heard about him on the helter-skelter, Henry filmed it again properly and put it on YouTube.
"I think he's shocked at the amount of people who have watched it."
Mr Kellie, 45, said he could not believe how popular the video had become.
"It started off with a few hundred hits but it turned to thousands," he told the Leicester Mercury.
"I am astonished by the number of hits it has now received - it has even been copied."
