A woman's body has been found washed up on the coast in southern England.
A dog walker found the corpse at a slipway at Minnis Bay, Kent, at 7.30am on Wednesday morning, a spokesman for Kent Police said.
It is understood the woman was aged in her 50s and believed to be from Sidcup. Her next of kin have been informed but she has not yet been formally identified.
Police said her death is being treated as "unexplained", pending the results of a post-mortem examination.
A police spokesman said the post-mortem would not be held before next week.
The coroner has been informed, he added.
