An 18-year-old nursery nurse says she will help her family move out of their council house after becoming Britain's latest lottery millionaire.

Stacey Bywater, from Holmfirth, near Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, said she spent all of Saturday night glued to the TV and internet trying to work out how much she had won after getting all six numbers to scoop a share of the Lotto jackpot.

Now she is celebrating a £1,117,779 windfall.

Miss Bywater said she is hoping to help her sister, who had just lost her job, and enable her parents to put a deposit on a house of their own.

And she revealed her father had dreamed one of the family would win the lottery.

"It's amazing that it has come true," she told a press conference at a hotel near Huddersfield.

Miss Bywater said she had two sisters - Gemma, 14, and Kirsty, 21.

She said her older sister had lost her job in a department store and it was her last day at work on Tuesday.

The teenager said she was going to buy a house for her sister and her little boy, Alfie.

Her truck driver father Gary was going to continue working, she said.
