Army bomb disposal experts have neutralised a viable explosive device found in the Clondalkin area of Dublin overnight.
The bomb was found beneath a vehicle at Deanrath Grove.
The army says the device contained explosive material, but was made safe without the need for a controlled explosion.
The all-clear was given at around 2.30am and the device was taken away for further examination by the Gardai.
