Wreaths stolen from Cenotaph

Wreaths at a city centre war memorial are being targeted by thieves, police said today.

Six flower memorials have been snatched from the Cenotaph in the Diamond area of Londonderry since Remembrance Day.

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was seen with two wreaths on the Abercorn Road, close to the city centre, at about 5.30am today.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Strand Road police station.
