Man found dead in Belfast city centre

Published 01/08/2009

A man was found dead in Belfast city centre last night.

He was discovered in Adelaide Street at around midnight. Police believe the man, aged in his mid-50's, may have been dropped off around an hour earlier by a taxi driver and are appealing for him to come forward.

Detectives are trying to establish his last movements and want anybody who can help to come forward.

A post-mortem examination is expected to be carried out later.
