Met hails PSNI over rapist hunt
Police in London have thanked the PSNI and gardai for helping to catch a “very dangerous” double rapist who fled to Ireland.
Dawid Wysocki, also known as Andrzej Wysocki or Arthur Bryewicz (30), from London, was sentenced at Wood Green Crown Court to eight-and-a-half years for each offence of rape and 99 days for absconding.
He pleaded guilty at a hearing to two counts of rape relating to incidents in September 1996. He was arrested in Northern Ireland in November 2009 following a “pro-active” PSNI operation.
Detective Inspector Dan Brown of the London Met said: “Thanks to well co-ordinated joint police work this man was apprehended.”
