Published 28/10/2008

Police who last night revisited the murder scene of Co Armagh man Victor Stewart have appealed to the local community for help in solving the crime.

The 45-year-old dairy farmer’s body was found at his house on the Creevekeeran Road in Middletown on October 22.

Detectives believe he was murdered last Monday, October 20.

Police said he suffered a violent death and believe that he was killed shortly after 9pm.

Senior Investigating Officer, DCI Gareth Talbot, said police believe the motive for the murder was robbery.

He said police want to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time.
