DUP only think of self-preservation, says Lord Empey
Former Ulster Unionist leader Lord Empey has accused the DUP of using the "politics of fear" to cover their 'cash for ash' scandal blushes.
At the DUP's manifesto launch, leader Arlene Foster mentioned Sinn Fein more than 30 times in her speech, but made no reference to the controversial Renewable Heat Incentive.
Lord Empey claimed the DUP is "concentrating on self-preservation".
"Slapping images of Gerry Adams on leaflets appears to be the best they can come up with," he said.
"Instead of injecting confidence into unionism, the DUP are focused on finding new bogeymen. Unionism deserves better."
