Northern Ireland Assembly election - voter turnout at a glance

Voter turn-out at a glance as thousands of votes are counted across Northern Ireland.

Public participation has been steadily dropping from the 70% figure in 1998 through 63% in 2003, 62% in 2007 and just 54% at the last election in 2011.

The Belfast Telegraph's polling partner, LucidTalk, has predicted the turnout could be lower this time, but not under the 50% threshold.
