The 23-year-old man killed a in Co Antrim road crash has been named as Michael Cusick from Belfast.

The single-vehicle accident, involving a black Mini, happened in Crumlin just before 11pm on Thursday.

Sinn Fein councillor Anne Marie Logue said the community had been left stunned by the death.

"Any death on our roads is one too many and a tragedy for all those involved, but for someone so young it has added sadness.

"This young man was very popular and his death will be felt throughout this community.

"My thoughts are with the young man's family and friends at this difficult and sad time."

The Randox Road and Nutts Corner Road were closed to traffic but have since re-opened and police have a ppealed for witnesses to come forward.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the officers at Antrim Police Station or the collision investigation unit on 101.
