24,000 enjoyed digital festival

A digital music festival during Derry's year as city of culture attracted 24,000 people.

More than 150 events were held during the week-long CultureTECH gathering last September.

It featured leading industry figures from the digital technology, media and music worlds.

Festival director Mark Nagurski said: "2013 was a breakthrough year for the festival in terms of its scale - we hosted over 150 events and sessions across the week, with over 500 artists, musicians, speakers and performers taking part.

"2014 will continue in the same vein, with events for industry, young people and communities across the city."

This year's festival will be held over a week from Monday September 15.
