25 witnesses for officers' inquest
An inquest into the death of four police officers whose vehicle crashed into a wall and caught fire in Northern Ireland is expected to last three weeks.
Constables Declan Greene (39), Kenny Irvine (30), Kevin Gorman (24) and James Magee (27) died when they were trapped inside their burning Shogun patrol vehicle after it hit a wall in Co Down.
A range of specialists will examine the charred shell of the police 4x4.
Mark Robinson, representing the PSNI, told coroner Suzanne Anderson: "Experts... have indicated that they wish to drive the vehicle or a similar vehicle and that has been provided."
The officers, all from the Mourne area, were responding to an emergency callout in the middle of the night when the accident happened on a stretch of winding coast road between the harbour towns of Warrenpoint and Rostrevor in November 2008.
Lawyers had gathered for a preliminary hearing ahead of the three-week inquest expected in the autumn.
More than 25 witnesses are set to give evidence.
