Alcoholic admits being disorderly in hospital A&E
A disorderly drunk who frightened hospital patients was so inebriated he did not even know how he got to the emergency department, a court has heard.
Christopher Gaile (54), of Burnside Park, Coleraine, was given five months in jail, suspended for three years.
The chronic alcoholic admitted to being disorderly at the Causeway Hospital on October 24. His solicitor said Gaile didn't know why he was in the hospital at the time, but suspected afterwards someone may have found him and brought him there as he suffers seizures.
District Judge Liam McNally described his behaviour as appalling.
