An adventure for charity
Adventure enthusiasts from across Greater Belfast are being encouraged to sign up for this year’s gruelling 70 Wild Miles challenge where individuals and teams cycle, canoe and run their way around a challenging course in just one day to raise money for children’s cancer charity CLIC Sargent.
This ultimate adventure kicks off with participants pedalling 47 miles, before taking to the water in a kayak and paddling 10 miles. The last stretch of 13 miles is then completed on foot.
The event will take place on Saturday, May 22, at the Share Centre in Fermanagh with each section starting and finishing at the site. Participants can take part either as an individual or in a team of three and are asked to raise a minimum £100 in sponsorship for CLIC Sargent.
Each week in Northern Ireland two children or young people are diagnosed with cancer or leukaemia. CLIC Sargent Northern Ireland provides clinical, psychosocial, emotional and financial care and support to them and their families.
