Appeal after couple robbed in home

A couple in their 70s have been left shaken after being robbed by two masked men in their home in Dunmurry.

The thieves, one of whom was armed with a hammer, entered the pensioners' house in Glengoland Park at about 7pm on Saturday night. They made off with some jewellery.

Police said the couple were not injured but were left shaken.

PSNI Detective Constable Sonya Hawthorne said: "I would appeal to anyone with any information about this incident to contact CID at Lisburn Police Station on the non-emergency number 101.

"Or if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details, they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111."
