The PSNI is appealing for information about a bomb explosion outside Probation Service offices in Derry

Police have released CCTV footage of an explosion outside Probation Service offices in Derry.

No-one was injured in the blast in Crawford Square, near the city centre, on Monday but offices were damaged and residents from a total of 20 homes were evacuated .

Police said inadequate warning was given to clear the area and children were left traumatised by the incident.

PSNI Detective Chief Inspector James Mullen, who is leading the investigation, said footage was being released as part of a renewed appeal for information and asked members of the public in the area around the time of the blast to contact police.
