Arlene Foster fury after bomb hoax shuts her office
Finance Minister Arlene Foster has condemned those behind a bomb hoax that closed her constituency office yesterday.
People were told to leave the building in Enniskillen after police received a threat containing a recognised code word, but nothing was discovered.
"It is right that for the safety of everyone the threat is taken seriously, but it has an impact on a large number of people on a busy working day," the MLA said.
"It is clear that those responsible have absolutely no regard for the people of Enniskillen or anywhere else as they use the failed tactics of intimidation and threat."
Fermanagh MP Tom Elliott also condemned the hoax.
"The targeting of anyone, including a politician or party, is nothing less than an attack on the democratic process itself," he said. "These tactics failed before and they'll fail again."
Sinn Fein MLA Phil Flanagan said the alert was an "attack against the entire community of Enniskillen". "It has done nothing but disrupt the community and those involved should get off the backs of all the people," he added.
