Arlene Foster has shared photos from her family album, giving a glimpse for the first time into the new DUP leader's childhood.

She was just eight years old when her father was shot in the head.

He survived, but the family had to move.

And when she was 16 the IRA placed a bomb under her school bus.

The Fermanagh/South Tyrone MLA and First Minsiter-in-waiting has today given her most heartfelt and revealing interview ever, saying "I didn't know what the shots were until dad crawled in with blood coming from his head."

And she says if the IRA told her who placed the bomb under her school bus when she was a teenager, she would take the information to the Historical Inquiries Unit, accepting the condition that no prosecution could be taken.
