Armed men force their way into mother and child's Belfast home

Two men believed to be armed with have forced their way into the home of a woman and her child.

The men forced their way into the Manor Street property in north Belfast at around 9.15pm on Sunday.

They checked all the rooms in the home before making off in the direction of Harcourt Drive.

The mother and child were not injured, police said.

Detective Constable Gareth Hussey is appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident or anyone who has any information that could assist with the investigation to contact detectives in Musgrave Police Station on the non-emergency number 101.

Information can also be passed anonymously via the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
