Arrest as drug factory and fuel plant found in Armagh
Police in Armagh have arrested a 28-year-old man after uncovering a cannabis factory, a suspected fuel laundering plant and counterfeit cash.
The man was interviewed and released pending further reports after detectives from the PSNI's Organised Crime Branch uncovered the drugs operation in the Battleford Road area of the city.
More than 200 cannabis plants and a quantity of counterfeit currency were seized during a search on Thursday.
Police also discovered a suspected fuel laundering plant and customs officers attended the scene. A PSNI spokeswoman said inquiries are on-going.
“Police would also remind members of the public who own or rent property to check their premises regularly and contact police if they become aware of any suspicious or untoward activity,” she added.
