A three-storey house has been targeted in an arson attack in south Belfast.

Two fire appliances were sent to the blaze at the mid-terraced property at Eblana Street.

Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus dealt with a fire on the middle floor of the building.

No one was believed to have been inside the property during the incident.

A NIFRS spokesman said: "Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service finished at the scene at 11:44am and the fire is being treated as deliberate.

"The incident has been passed through to the Police Service of Northern Ireland.”
