Arsonists hunted as cars torched

Police in Northern Ireland are hunting suspected arsonists who have gone on the rampage torching cars.

Six vehicles were destroyed during a spate of attacks across south Belfast over the past three nights.

Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) Inspector Ray Shaw said: "Police are treating these fires as suspicious."

In the latest incident, a car was extensively damaged after being set alight at Delhi Street just after midnight.

During the early hours of Saturday and Sunday a number of other cars were burned at Cadogan Street, Collingwood Avenue and Damascus Street.

Mr Shaw appealed for anyone with information to come forward.
