Assault victim's skull fractured in south Belfast's Newton Park area

A man has sustained a fractured skull in a serious assault outside a licensed premises.

The 47-year-old victim was getting out of his car in south Belfast's Newton Park area when he was struck on the back of the head with a heavy instrument and knocked unconscious.

Details of the incident were only released yesterday, although it happened on Tuesday, September 17.
